Goal Setting for 2020

As we look forward to a new lap around the sun, and the start of a new decade, are you prepared to be stretched out of your comfort zone and become crystal clear on your business and life goals?

Say goodbye to…

  • Endless delays on big-impact goals and ideas that mean a lot to you.
  • Being confused and unsure of how to connect your big vision to what you’re doing right now.
  • Starting lots of projects and never finishing.
  • Always feeling like everything is a priority and getting caught up in busy-work and stress.

Say hello to…

  • Working from a plan that connects all your actions to your business, financial and personal goals.
  • Finishing those projects you’ve already started and start seeing the results.
  • Taking full control of your time: Feel balanced, purposeful and productive rather than stressed or scattered.
  • Gaining confidence that you can make your goals happen.

So……..How do you start? Take a look at these 7 easy steps:

  • Decide.

Think of something you want to do or work towards. It doesn’t matter what, as long as it’s something you want to do.

  • Write it down.

Writing down and continually reading your goals makes them more real and achievable.

  • Tell someone.

Telling someone you know about your goals increases the likelihood that you will stick at them.

  • Break your goal down.

This is especially important for larger goals. Think about the smaller goals that are steps on the way to achieving your aim.

  • Plan your first step.

An ancient Chinese proverb says that the journey of 1000 miles starts with one step. Even if your goal isn’t to walk 1000 miles, thinking about the first step on the way will really help to get you started.

  • Keep going.

Working towards your goals can sometimes be difficult and frustrating – so you need to persevere. If a step you’re doing isn’t working, think of something else you could try that still moves you forward, even a tiny bit.

  • Celebrate.

When you reach your goal take time to enjoy it and thank those that helped you. Think about what you enjoyed and learned along the way.

Now, what is your next goal or project going to be?!
